Nakarin Theatre Creative Live Performance Fund & Festival

“Nakarin Theatre” a transformable theatre, in association with arts supporting media network offers the chance for artists to get creative in “FIAO” Nakarin Theatre Creative Live Performance Fund, a project funding all kinds of artistic creations:

From theatrical plays, live concerts, puppet shows, martial arts, fashion shows, feature films, to any other live performance integrating 2 or more branches of art.

Send in your FIAO ideas to receive funding for artistic creations worth 10,000- 100,000 per project and perform live in Nakarin Theatre, the ultra-modern transformable theatre, featuring variable structures to accommodate any kind of performance, together with full lighting and sound equipment.

Performers are divided into 2 categories: students and general public.

Send in application forms now until 20th August 2011

Results will be announced at the end of August

Shows will be performed during FIAO Festival, scheduled in October-November 2011

THE ARTISTS

Morgan Page:

With over 110 remixes to his name—including tracks by Madonna (“Miles Away”), Katy Perry (“I Kissed A Girl”), Tegan & Sara (“Back In Your Head”), and La Roux (“Bulletproof”)—Morgan Page has earned a solid reputation for transferring insatiable pop energy to the dance floor in the form of banging, progressive house tracks. High ranking spots on iTunes’ dance chart, Beatport’s progressive chart, and Billboard’s club charts affirmed his salability, while an ’09 Grammy nomination for Deadmau5’s remix of Page’s “The Longest Road” simultaneously bolstered his underground cred while spotlighting his skills as a songwriter.

Earlier this year, Page released Believe, a powerful, captivating album that makes good on his International Dance Music Awards nomination as Best Breakthrough Artist, and typifies his journey from bootleg remixer to award-winning producer and world renown DJ.

Montonn Jira:

Is best known for his multi-genre crossing productions and forward thinking performances. Having studied music composition and electronic music production abroad, he has since expanded his knowledge into sound design for music and film, and has returned to Thailand as “The Techno Producer” to watch out for.

Hailing from a rock solid production background, Montonn has been making a name for himself in both local and international music circles. 2007 saw him sign up as the musical director and programmer for the Neptunes’ produced Kenna. This allowed him the opportunity to tour the world with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode, and Fischerspooner, not to mention, perform at one of the largest concert events of all time, Live Earth.

Ehsan Gelsi:

Unafraid to search for the unique musical edge, Ehsan has developed a distinct and explosive style. As a solo performer, with his band Bubble & Squeak and working closely with Luke McD with Smash Bang Ehsan is always flying at the forefront of dance music in Australia. Supporting Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez,The Hacker, Michael Mayer, Matthew Jonson, Juno Reactor, Radioslave, Jesse Rose, Phil Kieran, Thomas Schumacher, Style of Eye, Black Strobe and many more international acts, Ehsan’s music stands on the world stage.

Ehsan has held numerous residencies in Melbourne, a summer residency at the biggest weekly beach party in Barcelona, numerous performances around Australia at many clubs and on the main stages at some of Australia’s biggest festivals such as The Big Day Out, Earthcore, Hot BBQ,Market Day, Parklife, Earthdance, Shore Thing and many more.

Mix Architekt:

He is dedicated to the craft of mixing, building bridges in music that connect genre, rhythm, and texture into an exciting journey of sound.

Performing since the early 90′s at raves and underground parties in California, his aesthetic has been honed into a unique balance of technical precision and deep, soulful expression. It engages the listener with a constantly changing landscape of music, built from layers of tracks to form new music – improvised live remixing in its rawest form.

The project is to re-stage the successful Thai-American music collaborative project “Music Battle: Tik Shiro Vs Kyle Dillingham” All box income and donation received, will go to the stated organizations.

As a cross-cultural music project by renowned Thai artist Tik Shiro and American music ambassador Kyle Dillingham, the concert is a fusion of Thai and American country music represented by the two enigmatic personalities. In the performance, while both demonstrate their excellence in their respective ways: Tik Shiro as a singer-song-writer and percussionist, and Kyle Dillingham as a fiddler; they also use their capacity to cross-over to the other’s music realm, and give each other’s music new life and possibilities. The project was performed in Patravadi Theatre’s Fringe Festival 2010 in Hua Hin and had won the hearts of the audience.

This music project, apart from its own artistic merits, is symbolic of a vital components in life: the spirit to be creative, the spirit of cooperation, and the spirit of accommodating and cherishing differences.
All the ticket income, together with donation received from the concert, will be donated to the following organizations:
